Course Description: Directed toward Spanish majors preparing for their Capstone experience, this course aims to guide the student in the process of completing a capstone proposal and initiating the preliminary steps toward the graduation ePortfolio. The ePortfolio provides evidence that a student is making satisfactory progress toward meeting the Core requirements and Major Learning Outcomes (MLOs) for the Spanish B.A.
Course Narrative: The course SPAN300, Capstone for Spanish Majors, is directed towards the students whose major is Spanish and are preparing for their final Capstone experience. This course helped to fulfill MLO 6 because I was able to become aware of how to effectively use the CSUMB resources for the benefit of my studies. This course is aimed to guide my peers and myself in the process of completing our Capstone proposal and also initiate the preliminary steps to complete my graduation E-portfolio. At the beginning of the class I wasn't sure which topic to take, Dr. Pozzi was very helpful in finding a topic that my partner Claudia Hernandez and I liked. In this course, we start by choosing the title of the project, we select the research questions, abstract, paragraphs of introduction, and literary review. While at the end of the semester we began to work on methodology. While Individually we work on this E-portfolio.
